PyMultiLab

Description

a software for calculation of electromagetic properties of multilayered sphercial particles

Installation

1.If you want to use this software, you have to download the four files PyMultiLab.exe, database, images and Guidance, and put them in the same directory, click PyMultiLab.exe to run the program.

2.When you want to update the refractive index database, You should follow the steps : (a)Manually download the latest refractive index database from the website https://refractiveindex.info and rename it to "database"; (b)Delete the old database and place the latest database where the old one used to be. Please note that PyMultiLab.exe, database, images and Guidance are still in the same directory, then you can use run the program normally.

Precautions for running software:

1.if the software interface is not fully displayed, you can change the screen resolution or drag the mouse to adjust the right edge of the software interface.

2.This software and its source code have obtained copyright certification and can be freely used for research, teaching or personal use. The complete software package without modification can be redistributed and freely exchanged for academic research, but cannot be commercialized or used for commercial purposes.

3.In any demonstration using this software package (or any other code using this software), this article should be appropriately referenced: Guidance

4.These codes have been developed and tested on Windows 7/10/11 and other operating systems. Although every effort has been made to eliminate errors (programming errors or incorrect physical formulas), there may still be some problems. We hope users can help us identify them and try to update the code if necessary.
