# Franca/ARA Toolsuite

Translation between Franca Interface Description Language (IDL) and AUTOSAR Adaptive models.

## Development setup

### Eclipse

Eclipse Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a). Flavor: Eclipse Modeling Tools.

We recommend to use the [Eclipse installer](https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/installer).

### Xtend
Go to Eclipse Marketplace and install "Xtend".

### AUTOSAR

Artop Release 4.12.1 (2021-02-22).

This supports AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform R19-03.
You need to be registered on [artop.org](https://www.artop.org) to get access to downloads and update sites.

### Franca

Franca Release 0.13.2.

For the transformations, it is sufficient to install _Franca Runtime_ (org.franca.core).
If you want to use the IDL editor, additionally install _Franca UI_ (org.franca.core.ui)
and the _Franca Providers Deployment_ (org.franca.providers).
