# Facebook Pixel Tag for Google Tag Manager (Web)

The Facebook Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that allows you to track visitor activity on your website. It works by loading a small library of functions which you can use whenever a site visitor takes an action (called an event) that you want to track (called a conversion). This is a [Google Tag Manager](https://tagmanager.google.com/) Community Template Gallery tag for the Facebook Pixel. It lets you configure and deploy the Facebook Pixel directly from a GTM **web** container without editing site code manually. The template supports:

* Standard and custom event tracking
* Advanced Matching (customer information parameters)
* Enhanced Ecommerce dataLayer integration
* Multiple Pixel IDs
* Object and custom data properties
* Data Processing Options (for CCPA/LDU compliance)
* Consent mode
* Event ID for server-side deduplication

# Installation

1. In your Google Tag Manager **web** container, navigate to **Templates** > **Tag Templates** > **Search Gallery**.
2. Search for **Facebook Pixel**
3. Add the template to your workspace.
4. Create a new tag using the template, enter your Pixel ID(s), and configure the desired events.
