Clone and run:  


Under rat plugin 0.17 you will get an error because the !demo.log rule from the .gitignore (i.e. version control not ignore) is also used to remove the rule that say it should be ignored for the license check.

So this will fail the build:

   mvn validate -Drat.version=0.17


Under the previous version this still worked as expected:

   mvn validate -Drat.version=0.16.1
